Badminton and Volleyball

Kenneth was our coach for badminton and volleyball. In badminton you need good concentration and hand-eye co-ordination. In volleyball we played games (matches) and we did drills. We used racket and a shuttlecock. We used a soft ball and a net. There was 2 people on each side for badminton and there was 6 people on each side for volleyball. For badminton you hit the shuttlecock over and back. For volleyball you send the ball over and back with you hands. We all had great fun through the 8 weeks.

THE HISTORY OF CHRISTMAS CAROLS

Our class is doing a history project about Christmas.Everyone got their own topic. My topic was 'The History Of Christmas Carols' this is a short version of my answer.
Carols were first sung in Europe thousands of years ago,but these were not Christmas carols they were pagan songs ,sung at the winter solstice celebrations where people danced round stone circles. The word 'carol' means dance or a song of praise and joy.Carols used to be sung in all 4 seasons of the year. This was changed by S.T Francis of Assisi when,in 1223,he started his Nativity plays. Now people go around to houses singing carols and sometimes they bring instruments.Even though it is very cold they still sing.
That is why we sing Christmas carols.
